A few of our recent projects...
Megaman – Welwyn Garden City
Megaman (UK) Ltd is a leading distributor and manufacturer of low energy lamps. Due to expansion, in spring 2008 they moved into new premises on the Quadrant Park development in Welwyn Garden City.
The building had two existing Daikin 20kW twin cassette systems and two Daikin heat recovery ventilation (HRV) systems serving open plan areas on two floors. These systems were part of the original build.
Blue Sky were asked to carry out modifications to the HRV systems to ensure adequate fresh air could be provided to the new internal offices.
We also installed a new 15.5kW Daikin variable refrigerant volume (VRV) heat pump system with six indoor fan coil units each serving a cellular office and two independent Daikin ‘roundflow’ cassette split systems to serve the conference room and reception area.

Goldenpoint – Kings Road Chelsea
With only six weeks to opening day, Blue Sky were awarded the contract to carry out the air conditioning, ventilation and complete electrical fit out of the first Goldenpoint store in the UK. The Italian lingerie company chose the fashionable Kings Road to open their flagship shop with 140 m² of retail space over two floors. Working closely with the shop fitter we installed two high capacity Mitsubishi Electric twin ducted split systems and associated ducting and grilles. A separate ventilation system provided fresh air to the basement and over 100 high specification spot lights were fitted to complete the stylish interior.

The Space - Mortimer Street London W1
The Space is a period office building located in the heart of London 's West End . The building has retained a number of character features and has recently undergone a full refurbishment converting it into serviced offices. Blue Sky installed a Daikin 2-pipe VRV heat pump system for the ground, first and second floors and multiple split systems for all other floors and the computer server rooms.

One Hammersmith Grove - London W5
Hammersmith Grove is a landmark serviced office building located next to the Lyric Theatre. The building has been extensively refurbished to provide high quality, air conditioned office space for SME's and corporate clients. Blue Sky designed and installed a Daikin 2-pipe VRV cooling system for newly constructed meeting rooms on the first floor and installed split systems in new computer server rooms on the first and tenth floors.

The Media Village - Great Titchfield Street London W1
The Media Village is located in London 's West End . Since our first visit, we have installed multiple split systems in offices, meeting rooms, computer server rooms and most recently the central reception area. We presently maintain over sixty individual systems in this building.

Shenley Hall - Radlett Hertfordshire
Set in 16 acres of park and woodland, Shenley Hall is the head office of Road Tech Computers Ltd. Blue Sky was called in when their rapidly expanding computer server rooms needed cooling down. We installed a total of six Daikin split systems, giving 100% standby, in each of the three rooms . We presently maintain all the Daikin equipment plus a Hitachi 3-pipe heat recovery VRF system serving the main office areas.

The Firevault Restaurant - London W1
The Firevault Restaurant found overheating in the summer months was a familiar problem. Blue Sky Air Conditioning were recommended to cool things down a little, whilst maintaining the stylish interior and without having to close for business. We discreetly installed five Mitsubishi inverter driven heat pumps and completed the installation outside restaurant hours. Business carried on as usual.

Quest Motor group - Braintree Essex The Quest Motor Group has been a Vauxhall Main Dealer in Braintree for 75 years. As part of the ongoing development of Quest House, Blue Sky installed seven Daikin cooling only inverter systems into occupied offices with minimal disruption to staff.

AVL Ltd - Bramhall Place , Peterborough
Blue Sky were one of three contractors invited to tender for the decommissioning of
twelve Mitsubishi heat pump split systems from AVL's old offices and reinstall them into their new offices next door.

Crownhill Milton Keynes - Heat Recovery Ventilation (HRV)
With security changes to the windows, high occupancy levels and new partition layouts our client required a cost effective ventilation solution to meet building regulations in their new 28,000 ²ft offices. Blue Sky installed 15 Daikin ceiling void mounted Heat Recovery Ventilation (HRV) systems complete with ductwork, grilles and controls.
HRV systems provide a cost and energy efficient ventilation solution by pre-heating or cooling incoming outside air with exhaust air from the internal space. In this way additional outside air loads (cooling in summer and heating in winter) are significantly reduced. HRV units achieve up to 80% thermal efficiency and can operate without any supplemental heating in winter ambient temperatures down to minus 10°c.
The total installation cost for HRV systems qualify for Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) which means the owners can reclaim 100% tax allowance in their current tax year.
